Workforce Success Story Submitted By: Denver Economic Development & Opportunity
Software developer Randy was 68 years old when he was laid off in August 2019. Although he had been diligently searching for employment, he had not been successful and eventually connected to the Denver Workforce Center through an RESEA referral, where he enrolled in the Dislocated Worker Program. Shortly after Randy's enrollment, the COVID-19 pandemic led to nationwide business closures. At his age, Randy wasn't sure he'd ever find any job, let alone a quality job in software development.
