Mike was enrolled in the WBC Job Development program. He worked for a college teaching classes on career readiness, but due to COVID, enrollment was down and his income suffered. He wanted to look for new career options. He was struggling finding appropriate job leads and getting feedback from employers.
Mike was enrolled into the Job Development program. The Job Developer assisted with employer engagement, and based on that feedback, worked with Mike to improve his interviewing skills, and offered suggestions to streamline and target his application material. The feedback included being more direct with tying experience to the job.
Mike had more effective job applications. he applied for a position at the WBC as a WIOA case manager. He interviewed, was offered and accepted the position. The position provides him with a pathway to pursue his passion of helping others and utilizes his skills in education.
