Steve was referred to ESWC by the local DVOP. He has a Master’s in Divinity in Christian Ministries, a vocal cord injury that left him unable to speak, and PTSD. Steve was not sure what direction to go in with the barriers he faced.

Workforce Solution

Workforce Solution: His WIOA case manager had him complete some assessments and it was determined that he would be very good with computers. Steve found a training program in cybersecurity that was not on the WIOA Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) and would take a few weeks to become listed.

Outcomes & Benefits

Thanks to the Weld Project Salute Veterans Service-to-Career Program (VSCP), Steve was enrolled in the IT program before the training provider became listed on the ETPL. Steve has found employment in the IT field that allows him to continue to work on his courses.
