Kendra received WIOA support to earn her Property & Casualty Insurance License. Following completion of this process she was referred for job coaching support. The challenges included beginning a new career path with no industry experience, and identifying employers with the entry-level opportunities.
Workforce Solution
She worked with Job Coach Leniel Garner, to identify companies with
good quality positions (wage, benefits, etc.), resume tailoring, and interview preparation.
Kendra applied to vacancies posted with USAA receiving support and guidance from the job
coach along the way.
Outcomes & Benefits
She expressed increased confidence going into interviews following the coaching provided. Kendra was offered and accepted a full-time position with USAA with a start date of 10/30/2022 at a starting wage of $21.96 per hour.
