Workforce Challenge

Workforce Success Story Submitted By: Mesa County Workforce Center

Crisstina had previously utilized our WIOA services in 2019 to become a lead teacher for Futures Early Learning. In Jan 2023 Crisstina was referred to RESEA as her employer had closed due to losing their lease. The child care center was looking for a new location but in the meantime they had to close down.

Workforce Solution

Through the RESEA meeting, Crisstina stated she would love to return to her employer when they were able to find a new location but she had just started taking business classes at CMU and would like to return in a different capacity. I reached out to her employer and learned they were able to find a new location and were getting ready to open back up. I discussed the OJT program with the employer and with Crisstina and found this was a good fit for both parties.

Outcomes & Benefits

Once the daycare center reopened, Crisstina was hired back on as the HR Manager for the center. She was able to complete her OJT with the organization. Through our funding she was able to stabilize and move into a new position with the same employer.
