Ashlyn was a 17 year old out of school youth who had to navigate high school during the peak of the pandemic, working to overcome all of the obstacles that came with that unfamiliar terrain. She decided to pursue an alternative avenue for her secondary education.
Workforce Solution
Ashlyn enrolled into the Future U/Young Adult WIOA Program and within 3 months she earned her GED. Just days before turning 18 she enrolled into the Healthcare Career Academy hosted by our partner, Arapahoe Community College.
Outcomes & Benefits
She successfully completed a summer work experience as a Medical Explorer. During the program, Ashlyn was able to discover new interests and passions within the healthcare field, which ultimately inspired her to pursue a career in the industry. She consistently sets goals and achieves them, even when faced with seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Ashlyn infamously tackles like with her infectious sense of humor and a smile on her face. The A/D Works! team is so excited to see what she will accomplish next.
