Returning back to society from prison created many challenges and obstacles for Arthur. One challenge he faced was finding employment that paid a prevailing wage. He proactively sought assistance with securing proper employment after exiting the justice system in order to reduce his chances of recidivism.
In order to be successful when returning back to society, it is important to become marketable by learning a trade while being incarcerated. Arthur took the initiative to learn about the trucking industry, which enabled him to obtain his Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Arthur was able to find employment as a driver. There were many items Arthur needed to purchase in order to be successful for this job. His Workforce Specialist provided assistance and support, helping Arthur obtain supportive funds for the items he needed. The funding that Arthur received enabled him to become a safe and more effective truck driver. Arthur's employer is proud to have him as an employee.
