Job seeker obtains resume and interviewing skills to land a job for which she'd previously been turned down.
Christina says the challenges she faced were much like any other job seeker in today’s business climate: “It is tough out there and we must be able to define our skills and attributes. I felt depressed, overwhelmed and unemployable when I first came to Auburn Connections.”

Christina used the office equipment at Auburn Connections, attended workshops and obtained resume and job search advice from the center staff. Christina became excited again about the prospect of a new job. She revised her resume, improved her interviewing skills, and learned how to research her target companies.

Christina had previously interviewed at an engineering firm for an administrative assistant position but had not been selected. When their original candidate did not work, the company called Christina for a second round of interviews. With a new resume, improved confidence and more knowledge about the employer, Christina felt truly ready for her interview. This time she was offered employment!
