Workforce Challenge
Mr. B had been laid off from his previous job in Qunu as an engineering manager. He had been unemployed for seven months when he came to the New Mexico Workforce Connection Center for assistance.
Workforce Solution
At the Center, he was offered services and it was recommended that he participate in the ARRA pilot project “Pathways to Success." The program provided resume resources, networking opportunities, and interview coaching to help more senior-level job seekers find new employment.
Outcomes & Benefits
Upon successful completion of the program, Mr. B was hired at a financial software solutions company called Mimics. The company is very pleased with his performance and has assigned him to his first big project/client, which will be in Jamaica.
