Workforce Challenge
James was a burned out mental health counselor and social worker seeking a change of career. He began attending Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) meetings and completed assessments that helped him reorient his current skills and interests toward another career path.
Workforce Solution
James discovered that technical writing would be a match and with financial assistance from JTPA, completed his Certificate in Technical Communication at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, IL. As a result, James secured employment where he worked for 11 until unfortunately, he was laid off. Once again, James turned to McHenry County Workforce Network (MCWN)for career support.
