Workforce Challenge
Demarcus didn't know what he wanted to do, and he had very little experience in the workplace. Previously, he worked in coffee shops. He had strong social and customer service skills; however, he needed a more stable work situation. He decided to seek training assistance.
Workforce Solution
Demarcus was interested in the patient care industry and decided to pursue training as a Certified Medical Assistant. After enrolling in WIA, Demarcus attended CMA classes at Greenville Technical. During training, he persevered through obstacles such as class difficulty, fear of blood, car troubles, etc. Despite all the challenges, Demarcus never missed a day.
Outcomes & Benefits
After graduation, Demarcus found employment with LabSource Diagnostic Center, LLC. He utilizes many areas of his training and loves his job! He has surpassed his 90-day evaluation and received a pay increase. He is now self sufficient!!
