Meet Marty

Workforce Challenge

Marty has been in Intervention Community Correction Services since he started with WCYCC in February. Because of this program, attendance has been an issue. ESWC has been willing to work with him and attempt to provide him with valuable work experience; however, there have been times where appointments needed to be made or he had not been allowed to make it to work.

Workforce Solution

Marty performed community service hours in addition to his work attendance in order to obtain the service hours necessary to complete his term. ESWC provided guidance to Marty to stay in the program and to continue to acquire the skills necessary to return to the workforce.

Outcomes & Benefits

On November 16th, Marty applied and was subsequently offered a job as a Quality Analyst at the JBS Swift Meat-packing plant. Marty has said, "If it weren't for [the ESWC] program, I would not have been allowed to explore my potential, and I'm not sure I would have been able to stay employed anywhere else."
