Workforce Success Story Submitted By:

Meet Noah

Workforce Challenge

Noah was working as a security guard. He worked 60 hours per week, but didn't get paid for overtime. He was living with his girlfriend and three children; he and his family received food stamps assistance for a while. The food stamps were later discontinued, but the family was still receiving Medicaid.
His income from his job as a security guard was barely covering the family's expenses.

Workforce Solution

Noah applied for the WIOA program at Adams County to obtain a CDLA. Noah received information regarding how to use Connecting Colorado to do a job search, and was also informed about the services offered at the WBC.

Outcomes & Benefits

Noah was approved for tuition assistance. He completed his training and obtained his CDLA. Soon he found employment at SYGMA as a truck driver and was paid a lot more than at his old job. He was very grateful to the WIOA program, and ready for more financial stability.
