Meet Pete

Workforce Challenge

Pete worked in a warehouse for years and had to leave because he was injured on the job and had to be on Workmen's Comp for a few months. He decided he could not return to the intense labor required for his warehouse position, and when he was released for work, he wanted to get his CDLA license.

Workforce Solution

Pete explained he wanted to get a CDLA license so he could provide a good income to his family again. He was approved for a WIOA scholarship to pay for the CDLA training.

Outcomes & Benefits

Pete completed the training and obtained his CDLA license. He was employed almost immediately after receiving his CDLA license, is now receiving a good income and is able to provide for his family again. Pete was extremely grateful for the assistance he received from the workforce center staff.
