Workforce Challenge

Thanks to the JMG Program and the guidance he received from his WIOA Case Manager AJ, Hunter transformed from a struggling student into a leader. Since entering the program, Hunter has overcome ADHD, as well as overcome his low academic performance and attendance issues.

Workforce Solution

When Hunter first entered the program, he was a year behind his graduating class. With hard work, determination, and the support of JMG, Hunter will now graduate in June. He even has a plan for after high school graduation.

Hunter has secured the financial means to pay for college, and he was accepted into the Kirtland Community College’s Mechatronic Program. His goals are to receive an Associate’s Degree in Mechatronics. Before community college starts in the fall, he plans to work at the Presque Isle Organic Farm this summer. During his time in the JMG program, Hunter was lucky enough to attend the JAG’s National Student Leadership Academy in Washington, D.C., which he really enjoyed.

Outcomes & Benefits

Hunter is thankful for the JMG program, stating, “This program has made me aware of my potential in what the future holds.”
