Meet Sabrina

Workforce Challenge

Sabrina is a single parent with three boys who was receiving TANF and food assistance. Her TANF case manager referred her to the Youth Succeed program to get assistance with possible retraining for a medical assistant or current CNA training to assist with her finding self sustaining employment.

Workforce Solution

Sabrina was enrolled in the Youth Succeed program and worked with her case manager to determine a good career pathway to find self sustaining employment in the medical field. She chose a certified nursing assistant (CNA) program through Ann Rose School of Nursing.

Outcomes & Benefits

Sabrina successfully completed her CNA program in September 2016 and found work at Elms Haven Care Center where she is working as a certified nursing assistant. She is a determined young lady who has persevered in finding a training program to complete successfully and secured employment with a nursing home facility where she is enjoying her job and changing the lives of the residents with her exceptional work skills and personality.
