Meet Carol

Workforce Challenge

Carol was between jobs and found that her lack of computer skills was having a big impact on her job search. She needed to learn Excel and Word in order to find a suitable position in Customer Service or Human Resources.

Workforce Solution

Carol came into the Quincy Career Center and through ARRA funding was able to sign up for the Excel Workshop on December 23, 2010. The Center gave her access to their Executrain E-Learning product which allowed her to learn Excel and complete some worksheets on her own at home.

Outcomes & Benefits

Carol landed a temporary assignment at Talbots in their Human Resource Department with the possibility of full-time work after a review. She is using Excel as part of her job function and is grateful that she was able to take advantage of our services.
