Meet Reathana

Workforce Challenge

Reathana called the Workforce & Business Center to schedule an appointment to come in for an interview outfit. Reathana was struggling financially due to a personal situation she was going through. She was responsible for supporting her two sons without any sources of income. Obtaining a job was the only way she was going to be able to provide for her family.

Workforce Solution

The WIOA youth staff completed an initial assessment to determine what type of assistance and referrals she needed. After we identified her needs, Reathana was provided interview clothes, housing referrals and food bank information. She was also assisted with a mock interview to help her prepare for her upcoming interview.

Outcomes & Benefits

Reathana stated that she was more confident after her mock interview and outfit. She utilized the referrals she was provided to meet her sons' basic needs. She didn’t get the first job she applied for, but she recently got a job as a BCA Case Manager with Adams County. Reathana is now able to provide more stability for her and her family. Congratulations Reathana!
