Meet Rose

Workforce Challenge

Rose was recently divorced when coming to WIOA and was laid off from her position after her divorce. She stated the last year had been very difficult for her. Her goal was to pursue a career in nursing where there is growth opportunity and room for
advancement. She continued to get laid off due to reductions in force. Rose was looking for assistance with her tuition, books, BLS and state exam fees. She also needed help with her scrubs and tools for her training.

Workforce Solution

Rose received the services she requested from WIOA. She was approved for CNA training, BLS, state exam as well as her scrubs needed for her clinicals in trianing. She was also approved for a CNA exam retake after she failed her skills portion of her CNA state exam.

Outcomes & Benefits

Rose found immediate employment as a CNA. She was enrolled in November 2015, started training in December 2015 and graduated in February 2016. Rose was happily employed by March of 2016 at her dream job and loving it. She now has room for advancement and is in a stable industry.
