Workforce Challenge

Sixteen year old Danielle and her parents came into an Education and Training Institute’s (ETI) office to ask about the GED program offered by ETI. Her parents were reluctant to let her leave school. Danielle did not know what she wanted, but knew she wanted out of school because she was “bored” and “suffocating.” ETI staff inquired about her goals, likes, hobbies, and what she wanted to do after she got her GED. Danielle stated that she wanted to attend a community college, and eventually become a Neurosurgeon.

Workforce Solution

Danielle enrolled in our WIA program on August 13, 2009 and took the GED test on September 4th, receiving her GED certificate on September 16th. Danielle’s standard GED score was 2300 and battery average was 460.
