Meet Tiffanie

Workforce Challenge

Tiffanie was laid off from her customer service job after six years with the employer. She had some post-high school education, but nothing specific to a career. She had made a good salary, but could not earn the same salary without more education. She needed guidance and financial assistance to find a new career.

Workforce Solution

Tiffanie was eligible for TAA and WIA DW benefits. After some career guidance, she decided to pursue a new career as a Radiologic Technician. She received a TAA scholarship which covered a two-year program at a community college. She also received supportive services while in school through the WIA DW program which helped her financially. She and her husband have four children which caused financial challenges while in school.

Outcomes & Benefits

Tiffanie graduated with honors and received her AAS degree in Radiologic Technology. She was hired upon graduation and is now making a greater salary than she did in her previous employment. She loves her new career.
