Meet Brandon

Workforce Challenge

Brandon came to WIOA Youth Succeed as an In School Youth wanting to graduate high school. Brandon was in 10th grade and has always had a hard time in school. Brandon has had to work to help family and attend school at the same time. Brandon also has a juvenile criminal record.

Workforce Solution

Brandon worked hard in school and attended the welding program at Bollman Tech. Transportation was a challenge for Brandon and WIOA was able to provide transportation assistance in the form of bus books and/or bus passes. Brandon has continued to work a job while attending high school. CM and WIOA Youth program was able to provide support to Brandon to keep him working on his goal of graduating.

Outcomes & Benefits

Brandon has worked hard since he enrolled into WIOA Youth program back in 2013. On May 17, 2016, Brandon graduated high school and received his diploma. Brandon is currently employed, and his hours have increased since he is no longer in school. Brandon is undecided if he will attend post secondary.
