Meet Stacy

Workforce Challenge

Stacy came into our office requesting assistance with job search. She had been unemployed for almost two years because she was taking care of her husband who was fighting a terminal illness. Stacy lost her husband and had to sell her house to cover expenses during the time she couldn’t work. She was living with her parents at time of enrollment, and although she was dealing with her own health issues, she was ready to become self-sufficient and support her daughter who is a single mom.

Workforce Solution

A case manager assessed Stacy’s skills, and reviewed her resume. It was determined Stacy could benefit from resume and interviewing skills, and the case manager encouraged Stacy to participate in Resume and Interviewing workshops. Stacy attended workshops a couple of weeks after meeting with the case manager.

Outcomes & Benefits

By the end of April, Stacy secured full time employment with a bank as a Loan Coordinator. She is doing very well and recently bought a house with her daughter.
