Meet Kendall

Workforce Challenge

Kendall had been living in a halfway house for almost two years, recovering from drugs and alcohol. She had really changed her way of life and decided she wanted a new career as a dental assistant. She had already spoken to a couple of dentists who said if she got the training, they would consider hiring her.

Workforce Solution

Kendall had no money for the tuition, so we offered her a WIOA scholarship to attend dental assisting school.

Outcomes & Benefits

Kendall completed her training with top grades, was hired immediately, and is now looking for an apartment of her own. She is the happiest she's been in about five years.
