Meet Paul

Workforce Challenge

After several years as a Personal Care Assistant, Paul was laid off and his youthful past with the law came back to haunt him. He also did not have a high school diploma. Determined to turn his life around, Paul visited the Inglewood One-Stop to secure his diploma, receive additional training and find employment.

Workforce Solution

Through the one-stop, Paul received training under the Adult program. While attending the New Opportunities Charter School, he began volunteering his time there and found fulfillment in helping people overcome obstacles. Looking to give back, Paul decide to pursue Addiction Treatment Counseling training through an I-Train-Approved provider.

Outcomes & Benefits

Upon completion of his classroom training and externship, Paul was hired as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor. He is excited to help others in need of life- and career-altering programs.
