Meet Gino

Workforce Challenge

Gino came into our office needing full time employment. He had four children, and his wife was a "stay at home" mother. Gino had previously worked as a personal trainer, but could not find steady work in this field. He and his family were on food stamps.

Workforce Solution

Gino stated he wanted to get his CDLA license because truck driving is a very marketable field. Gino received a WIOA scholarship to attend truck driving school.

Outcomes & Benefits

Gino received a CDLA license after completing the training. He was hired as a UPS truck driver (so he didn't have to do overnight trips), and he now earns substantially more. He and his wife are no longer on food stamps.
