Workforce Challenge

Dusty, a charismatic 25 year-old, was homebound due to a medical condition, but he was determined and eager to achieve his goal of part-time employment.

Workforce Solution

Dusty was referred by MRS-Ann Arbor to Work Skills Corporation (WSC) to participate in placement services. With support, Dusty was hired as a part-time Cleaning Captain at the Taco Bell Restaurant in Brighton.

Outcomes & Benefits

Since becoming employed, Dusty is never late for work and demonstrates a strong commitment to his employer and the customers that he serves. He continues to perform his job well and is highly respected. He still attends monthly workshops at WSC to not only learn and develop more of his personal skills, but to serve as a role model and mentor to others. He reports, “It is important to me to be as independent as possible and I always set my goals high. This is the motto on which I live my life.”
