Meet Lesley

Workforce Challenge

Although Lesley has a background in corporate accounting, she filled a Customer Service Representative vacancy at Carcoustics USA left by a terminally ill employee. When the employee could not return to work, she was hired. While Lesley was grateful for the position, she hoped to pursue more responsibility in a different area of the company.

Workforce Solution

Through the Skilled Trades Training Fund Grant (STTF), Carcoustics USA was able to provide training in Ford SNC, Ford Super G, Ford MP&L, Eddl and CMMS3. Demonstrating her commitment to learn and grow, Lesley also volunteered to be part of the Carcoustics’ Internal Audit Team. Within a short period of time, she demonstrated that she was able to do more than what was originally required of her. Carcoustics has responded by continuing to train her. This time in the basics of the Electronic Data Exchange as back-up for EDI Coordinator.

Outcomes & Benefits

Through the grant, Carcoustics USA was able to teach Lesley new things that resulted in new responsibilities and the scope of her job changing. With an increase in pay since she first started, Lesley now works as a Customer Service Analyst/MRO Buyer Jr.
