Meet Stacy

Workforce Challenge

Stacy came to the Workforce and Business Center as a future student of Front Range Community College's nursing program. She was very driven and motivated to achieve her associate's degree in nursing and nothing else. The challenge was Stacy was within days of her start date at the college and needed assistance with her FASFA and books. Stacy was discouraged at the long process to enroll in the Youth Program, but stayed focused and committed to completing the necessary steps.

Workforce Solution

Through consistent communication and persistence on the part of the customer, Stacy's case was submitted to the Workforce's MIS team no less than three times and each step of the way Stacy provided the necessary documents to get her case through. After her case arrived on her case manager's desk, Stacy had already begun classes and was in need of her books. Working together with enrollment staff and her case manager, Stacy purchased her first book without assistance and began the first steps towards educational independence.

Outcomes & Benefits

Stacy is currently maintaining contact with her case manager and preparing for a successful first semester in adult education.
