Meet Rahel

Workforce Challenge

Rahel was attending high school and working at the same time. Since she was having difficulty with transportation, Rahel missed a good amount of school. She was also having difficulty paying for school fees and supplies, as well as adequate clothing. Additionally, Rahel was helping to support her family by providing rent, groceries and other family needs. Without assistance, she was worried that she would have to drop out of school and work full-time.

Workforce Solution

Rahel enrolled in the WIA Youth Succeed Program to receive graduation assistance. The program provided funding for transportation, school fees and supplies, clothing and good grades. Hoping to someday graduate from college, her case manager helped her research affordable colleges.

Outcomes & Benefits

With the assistance provided by the WIA Youth Succeed Program, Rahel will graduate on time. She is currently applying to colleges in the hopes of obtaining a BA in accounting.
