Meet Jace

Workforce Challenge

Jace was a high school graduate who came to Career Path Services homeless and unemployed. He was unable to obtain long-term employment and was having a hard time making ends meet.

Workforce Solution

He worked with his Employment Specialist on creating a resume, completed work readiness workshops, brushed up on his math skills and learned what it would take to become self sufficient.

Outcomes & Benefits

Jace began his twelve week work experience at Sierra Electric, where he was continually praised for his work ethic, attention to detail and ability to learn new tasks. An opportunity to apply and interview for the Electricians Apprenticeship program opened in his tenth week. He completed the application and scored a 96% in his interview. Jace was accepted into the apprenticeship program an is currently a first year Electrician Apprentice, earning a starting wage of $15.74/hour.
