Advanced Call Center Technologies (ACT) provides back office support services for companies in the financial services, communications, and technology industries. The company relocated to Sacramento in August, 2012 and needed to hire 500 Call Center Representatives by December.

Workforce Solution

Sacramento Works Employer Services became ACT's recruitment partner by sourcing and testing candidates to be moved forward to the final hiring stages. Sacramento Works assessed over 450 candidates in the first month alone, and supplied ACT with the 250-person start-up crew that they needed by October 2012. Sacramento Works also worked with ACT to implement the CalWorks On-the-Job training program hiring over 50 CalWorks customers at a 90% wage reimbursement.

Outcomes & Benefits

As a result of assistance received from Sacramento Works, ACT was able to start developing their internal start-up workforce before their location was ready. The wage subsidies they received totaled over $50,000, providing assistance to offset their initial training costs. Over 50 CalWorks clients were trained in a demand occupation which offers upward mobility and career growth. These clients now have the opportunity to become self-sufficient before their benefits end.
