Meet Anastasia

Workforce Challenge

Anastasia had been working as a Teacher's Aide for several years. When her position unexpectedly ended, Anastasia was at a loss for what to do. She felt her job seeker skills were a bit rusty and she was very concerned her age would be a factor in her job search.

Workforce Solution

Anastasia enrolled into the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). She was immediately assigned to perform 20 hours/week of paid ($7.25/hr)community service at her local school district helping in a classroom setting. SCSEP also provide current job search information and resume critique.

Outcomes & Benefits

Because of her past work experience working with children along with her community service employment at the local school district, Anastasia was hired as a Para Facilitator. The position is full time, pays $9.90 per hour,and offers benefits.
